SECOND SPIN

SECOND SPIN is a Fayetteville, AR, based Classic Rock Band, available for concerts, clubs, festivals, weddings, parties, corporate functions, etc.

Tamara Henschell

// Lead Vocals

Tamara grew up in Vancouver, Canada, and got her start singing and dancing in musical theatre shows. However, her secret dream was to be in a rock band, as she grew up singing along to her Dad’s vast collection of rock and roll albums. An opportunity came while working as a server at a local pub that featured a weekly jam night. Tamara worked up her courage, took the stage one night, and blew the room away. She never looked back.

After moving to Arkansas, Tamara sang with local dance band, Red Ambition, for about 10 years. She performed for many local events, including the Razorbacks official tailgate party, Bikes,

Blues, and BBQ main stage, charity fundraisers, corporate partes, and much more.

Tamara eventually left that band and the music scene for several years while pursuing a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Now she’s back, better than ever, and ready to rock! Tamara is thrilled to get to perform her all time favorite classic rock songs with the talented musicians of Second Spin.

Steven Kolokithas

Steve Kolokithas

// Guitar & VocaLs

Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Steve grew up surrounded by music.  He picked up his first guitar at 14 and launched into a long history of performing with various original and cover bands.

His move to Northwest Arkansas in January of 2019 did not slow him down.  His first NWA band, The Axios, enjoyed wide spread success as did his second band, 449 Rewind.  Steve continues to entertain crowds in various venues in the area with his new project, Second Spin.

A true audiophile and savvy engineer, Steve spends much of his time in the recording studio, sculpting texture, tone, and dynamics from every recorded track.  He has an innate gift for arranging, mixing and producing music, yielding phenomenal works including debut CDs for several California bands including Chromata (San Jose), Stoned Romeos (San Jose), Etc. (Danville), and Jonni Lost (San Ramon).

Steve brings his signature tone and style to every live performance, faithfully reproducing the hits you love to hear.

Scott Stewart

// Vocals & Guitar

Scott Stewart grew up in Louisiana influenced by music from classical to Zydeco, Blues, and Classic Rock.  His first instrument at age nine was the piano, playing classical music from the masters.  At age 11, he turned to the guitar, first learning on the acoustic, then turning to electric with influences by the British invasion, delta blues, and southern rock.

Through these influences, Scott began to develop his voice, first through ballads, then turning to soulful R&B and rock.  His natural ability to harmonize provided an avenue to progress through bands with duties as front man as well as lead/rhythm guitar and background vocals.

He took to the road as a front man but after a 2-year stint, family became his priority.  This took him away from music for almost 20 years.  He returned with a successful acoustic group (Wooden Ships) and then turned his attention to full ahead, straight on, in your face, eclectic, electric music and hasn’t turned back.

Gerald White

// Bass & Vocals

Gerald White (Bass Guitar, Vocals) has always had passion for playing music.  For many years, he played mostly contemporary Christion music. But in the last few years, he’s added a new focus on his love for classic rock and blues. During this time, he’s performed in a wide range of venues with several different bands.

Long before trading spreadsheets for set lists, Gerald built a successful career in accounting and finance.  In 1988, he and his “better-than-he-deserves” wife, moved from Oklahoma City to Tulsa, where they still call home.  When he’s not playing the bass guitar, Gerald enjoys Sooner football or Thunder basketball or just chilling with a good cup of coffee.

Gerald adds a solid rhythmic and melodic bass groove to the band and is an integral part of the high energy this band brings to every show!

Dave Hodge

// Drums & Vocals

My drumming career started at 13 with a drum set from a bail bondsman—courtesy of someone who jumped bail. Apparently, their loss was my gain.

I spent my high school years playing in garage bands, which led to a couple of bands during college in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Then came a 12-year break from the stage while I raised my kids in their hometown of Las Vegas. In 2012, I picked up the sticks again and haven’t looked back.

I’m an ’80s guy at heart, with Metallica holding the all-time favorite spot and Five Finger Death Punch getting plenty of play these days. I like my music with attitude, and there’s nothing quite like feeling the kick of the bass drum in my chest while I’m on stage.

Offstage, family is everything, and I’m happiest when I’m building, creating, or working on something with my hands. But put me behind a drum kit, turn it up loud, and that’s where the fun really starts.
